About The Green House Tea Room

IMG_20250603_190358.jpg

What is now known as The Green House Tea Room was originally the home of Charles Green, owner and operator of the Charles H. Green Plumbing Company, a company which he ran from 1889 to 1954. Built in 1905, Green's house included 3 wood burning fireplaces! We were amazed by the design and timelessness of the building. In an age where so many original buildings are demolished and modernized, we were struck by the desire to preserve this building's architecture and its physical reminder of years past.

"So, why a tea room?" you ask. As fathers who each have two daughters who are now young ladies, we wanted to create a space in the Bethlehem area where women could sit with each other and enjoy the atmosphere and some fine cuisine. With this in mind, and

considering the building's architecture and the Western, Victorian origins of the "teahouse," a tea room just made sense. Our goal is for our customers to feel a sense of community in our tea room, and to share in our appreciation for architecture, art, and a good cup of tea. We hope you'll enjoy stepping back in time with us as you sip your tea.
